Power Court Updates

Power Court Update – 26th December 2021

Luton Town v Bristol City – 26 December 2021

In which David Wilkinson talks about us punching above our weight.  The irony …

“The two main planks of our 2020 mission that Gary presented to us, and which we all bought into, were to reach the Championship and gain planning from which we relocate into a brand-new stadium. You will probably have seen that we have announced that a deal to sell our asset at Junction 10 has now been agreed with an investment fund advised by Morgan Stanley REIT and Wrenbridge for their development of Newlands Park. As Gary says in the Press Release, even though there is still a lot of work to do, this is an important step towards funding the delivery of our new home at Power Court. As you should be aware since acquiring the land in the first place, the World has seen some of the most unpredictable changes – from Brexit to the Virus – which we have been beset with difficulties that have or could have hindered our development plans, making the project hugely more challenging. However, the first part of the plan is now in place, and we can concentrate on the principal ambition. So, the first wish is to see continued progress at Power Court and the finalisation of detailed stadium plans prior to starting work, and I can assure you that this is happening.”
