Only real men can handle a finger up the bum!

There are many great Lutonians – whether born here or adopted – who have brought credit to the town over many years and in many fields of endeavour.

Amongst this elite group is Mick Harford, a legendary figure for The Hatters over four decades.
We were very sorry to hear that ‘Sir Mick’ has been diagnosed with Prostate Cancer recently and is now undergoing treatment.

Save Our Town will be forever grateful for his enthusiastic support during our victorious battle against C&R when The Arndale owners were trying to stop the regeneration plans that will deliver a new stadium for Luton Town and other major benefits

Tough as old boots during his playing career we have no doubt that his strength of character will help enormously in this very personal battle. God willing we’ll see him back at his spiritual Kenilworth Road home soon.

In the meantime we wholeheartedly endorse Mick’s message to all men to understand the symptoms of Prostate Cancer (see link below) and GET YOURSELF CHECKED at your GP surgery if you identify with any of them. DON’T DELAY.

We think he’d approve of our headline – especially if it persuades more men to get checked!

Good luck Mick.
